For example, she has assisted private and non-profit corporations of various sizes through start-up/licensure processes, mergers, plant closings, restructuring, 401(k) plan corrections, OFCCP compliance audits and daily oversight of human resources and related functions. Over the past 14 years, HRBS has assisted senior living communities in all facets of development and operations: Human Resources and Payroll policies and systems, interim management, operational policies, compliance audits, executive recruiting, staffing plans/FTE monitoring; compensation and market surveys; employee benefits selection, management training, licensure, regulations management, litigation support, outsourcing studies, financial reporting, operational budgets, technology solutions, contract negotiations, and insurance procurement and claims management. With over 30 years of experience in human resources planning and compliance, she offers a unique combination of management consulting and practical Human Resources application expertise. SVP & Senior Human Resources Consultant offers 30+ years of hands-on professional experience. Before consulting, Katherine enjoyed a 26-year career in corporate HR and Employee Benefits, beginning with Sovran Bank (now Bank of America).

Katherine was the HR Director for the Virginia State Bar, the Manager of Health and Welfare Benefits for the 11,000 employees of Overnite Transportation (now UPS Freight), and a Director of Account Management for Southern Health/Coventry. Katherine understands the time and resource challenges faced by clients and can assist in a wide variety of projects, including sensitive employee relations matters, HR and benefits audits and best practices; compensation analysis; ERISA, HIPAA, and Affirmative Action training and compliance; employee handbooks, surveys, newsletters, and total compensation statements. Valerie prepares Welfare and Cafeteria Plan Documents, Summary Plan Descriptions, and annual 5500 filings, including voluntary compliance programs for delinquent filings. VP & Senior Human Resources Consultant has 30+ years of information technology and human resources experience. Mary Lee holds a B.A. in Administration & Management from Chatham University and an MBA from Queens University.
